Joining Snoop on the penultimate stretch are French actress Laetitia Casta, French rapper MC Solaar, and retired Ukrainian pole-vaulter Sergey Bubka. The final torchbearer, who will conclude the journey, has yet to be revealed.

In addition to his torch-bearing duties, Snoop Dogg will also contribute as a news correspondent for the Paris Games. He will provide commentary for NBC’s Primetime in Paris show, offering his unique perspective and insights on the events.

This announcement has generated significant excitement, blending the worlds of sports and entertainment and bringing a unique flair to the opening ceremonies of the 2024 Olympics. Snoop Dogg’s involvement is expected to draw a wide audience and add to the global appeal of the Games.

Mosta PL Councillors Storm Out From Debate About Reopening City Square

Jul 24 2024 Share

The long lasting Mosta Square saga which started a few months ago, and which was going to see the Mosta Square become a car-free zone, similar to many pedestrian areas around the world featuring significant buildings like the Mosta Rotunda. The plan, initiated under the Labour Party-led Mosta Council, aimed to transform the square into a pedestrian area.

Initially, the decision was made to close the square to cars only on weekends, specifically on Saturday evenings and Sundays, allowing foot traffic only.

However, in response to complaints from residents and business owners about increasing traffic congestion in the surrounding areas, the newly elected Nationalist Party-led Council has introduced a resolution to keep the square open to cars at all times, starting this September.

The council meeting where this decision was announced ended in chaos, with half the members walking out. The resolution has sparked a wave of reactions from residents, experts, councilors, architects, Ministers, and Parliamentary Secretaries, with opinions sharply divided on the issue.
