Are you and your significant other separated by land and water? Well, this definitely not creepy device released by a technology company in China will let you get some action despite the distance difference.

Working as a phone attachment, it is equipped with warm and moveable silicon lips and marketed for long-distance lovers through China’s online shopping website Taboo.

Called Remote Kiss, the invention’s leading designer, Jiang Zhongli, said he was inspired by his own long-distance relationship to find a way to reconnect to his loved one.

“In my university, I was in a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend so we only had contact with each other through the phone. That’s where the inspiration of this device originated,” Zhongli explained.

The device is equipped with pressure sensors and actuators to mimic a real smooth kiss by replicating ‘pressure, movement and temperature’ characterised by normal human lips.

The device can also reportedly, get this, replicate the noise one makes when kissing. It works through an app that users download on their phones and then plugged into the device via the charging port.

Partners must then couple up in the app so they can begin a video call and kiss each other through the internet. However, users can also ‘upload’ their kisses in the app for other users to experience…

We’ll let you digest all of this information at your own pace.

Degiorgio party image condemned at European level by Anti-SLAPP

Degiorgio party image condemned at European level by Anti-SLAPP
Feb 26 2023 Share

Taking to Twitter, Senior legal advisor at the European Centre for Press & Media Reform and member of Steering Committee of the Coalition Against SLAPPs in Europe Flutura Kusari condemned the recently released photo of Daphne Caruana Galizia’s murderer at a party.

‘This is how #Malta treats criminals who kill journalists – it allows them out of jail to party and enjoy life when they are serving a sentence for a journalist’s murder. What is the end goal of this approach? This shameful decision has implications at a European level’ she wrote.

The sentiments were echoed by Roberta Metsola, who said that this story hit a raw nerve for her. ‘It is outrageous. Shocking. Nauseating.’

‘Daphne can no longer enjoy time with her sons and play with her grandchildren. She cannot speak to her husband, her sisters or her parents. She cannot write her column. She cannot upload her blog’ wrote the European Parliament President.

Meanwhile, ‘the man who murdered her can party and pose for photographs with impunity. This is not justice. That is the opposite’ she finished.

Also taking to Twitter, son of the late journalist Andrew Caruana Galizia said that George Degiorgio ‘lost his right to family life the moment he began murdering innocent human beings for money. His 40 year sentence for my mother’s murder cannot allow for any exceptions. Or murder in Malta will begin to mean absolutely nothing.’

The sentiments were further echoed by Opposition Leader Bernard Grech who, in sharing the photos, said: ‘This is Malta under Robert Abela. Wake up! This impunity ends if you move and join against it.’

‘Malta deserves better. You deserve better. You can birth a better Malta’ he finished his post saying.
