People are raising concerns over parking attendants reportedly asking for €2 for the space to be used, despite it being a public parking.

Information sent to this newsroom have relayed information that cones are allegedly being placed in the middle of the entrance as the attendants supervise the entrance.

When challenged, the attendants reportedly replying confrontationally with: “don’t pay if you don’t want. So we’re staying here for nothing?”

Some drivers are refusing to park as they fear their car would sustain damages. This is not the first time this same parking has raised alarms, with a similar report by The Malta Independent in 2020 detailing how attendants asked for up to €3 to €5 for the space to be used.
