Having just turned 6-years-old, little Hazel Magri decided to urge people to donate instead of giving her gifts.
This she did so she can help Puttinu Cares, the NGO who, among others, helped her late brother Juan after he was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour.
Juan passed away last October, and to pay tribute to both him and Puttinu Cares, Hazel managed to raise a whopping €921.50 to the Rainbow Ward at Mater Dei Hospital.
Her brother was born in August 4th 2021, but just a few weeks later, was diagnosed with the tumour. The parents revealed that the last few days of Juan were spent at the Rainbow Ward.
Speaking to Times of Malta, they revealed that the couple were very much supported by Puttinu as the family decided to live at the ward.
The NGO provided them with a kitchen, a washing machine as well as films at hospital to keep their minds occupied. And Hazel repaid the favour, helping hundreds of other kids in need in the process!
