The Turkish Embassy in Malta has reported that the second batch of resources from Malta has been sent to Turkey this morning.
Volunteers and citizens from across Malta and Gozo came together to collect resources and materials for a humanitarian aid package, which was sent via Turkish Airlines earlier today.
The Turkish Embassy in Malta thanked the Turkish community and Maltese and Gozitan friends for their contribution.
In the past hours, it was reported that over 21,000 deaths were registered in Turkey and Syria, with tens of thousands injured in the aftermath of a magnitude 7.8 earthquake.
Search and rescue teams from all over the world, including Malta’s own Civil Protection Department dispatch, have come together to attempt to pull any survivors from the devastating scenes of the earthquakes.
