During the elimination interview Seb said that he felt upset and disappointed that his time at the villa was so short, explaining how there is no time to waste at the villa and you cannot stop having chats. Whilst initially setting his eyes on Gabby, Seb chose to go on a date with Nicola because Sven & Gabby were reportedly all over each other during the bombshell’s time at the villa.

Seb revealed that after his date with Nicola, he held back completely, explaining how hard it is for a bombshell to go in and want two of the strongest couples in the villa.

He also revealed that there may be couples who are playing the game rather than attempting to find love, going on to highlight that Andriy and Marie spoke about possibly being together before he was shut down by Marie – stating that Andriy may go for the next bombshell if one of his type had to come in.

“Horrendous”: New asphalt ramp at Għar Lapsi causes outrage amongst public

Jun 16 2023 Share

A new asphalt ramp leading to popular swimming spot Għar Lapsi has caused major outrage amongst the Maltese public.

Waves of users commented harshly on the black ramp’s lack of aesthetic appeal, with most saying that the surroundings do not deserve such a sight.

One particular commenter, environment activist Cami Appelgren said that the ramp sends a message that Malta does not care about its nature and “God forbid we had proper work done which would honour our heritage.”

The Lapsi ramp is used by boat drivers regularly, and suffered damage and deterioration due to the effects of the sea and winter storms, calling for a much-needed upgrade. However, the images posted to celebrate the collaboration between the Siggiewi local council and the Public Works Department caused quite a stir amongst the public.

A particular commenter also posted an image of what the ramp should have looked like, producing an image of a cobblestone floor leading to Lapsi.

River of Love pastor Gordon Manché files new criminal report against artistic director

River of Love pastor Gordon Manché files new criminal report against artistic director
Jun 16 2023 Share

Teatru Malta artistic director Sean Buhagiar has been questioned by the Malta Police Force after River of Love leader Gordon Manché filed a criminal report against him.

The artistic leader’s criminal report is the latest legal situation pursued by Manché, after the River of Love leader reported him to the police for calling him an “asshole” and revisiting a joke previously made by satirist Matt Bonanno.

In a recent social media post made by Buhagiar, the national theatre company boss called the situation “alarmingly serious”, shining a light on the fact that Manché was using legal means to challenge and stifle free speech and satirical expression.

Could we stand up and fight back? with satire? Imagine if every comedian, artist, writer, and creative practitioner called him “Malta’s biggest asshole” and humorously suggested to whimsically “relocate River of Love to Buġibba, then carpet bomb”, Buhagiar wrote on Facebook.

The theatre veteran is only the latest target of the River of Love pastor, previously filing charges against Bis-Serjetà creator Matt Bonanno and comedian Daniel Xuereb, saying that “this cannot be tolerated.”

Comedians across Malta have come forward in support of the three individuals in question, asserting that satire is a tool which should not be threatened by law and such means of  free speech should not be challenged.
