Beginning in March 2025, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will introduce a new flight route connecting Copenhagen, the Danish capital, with Malta.

Ed Sheeran has melted hearts with a viral video that’s been called “the best on the internet.” The clip, which has racked up 854,000 likes and nearly 5,000 comments, shows the 33-year-old singer floating down a London canal on a boat when he spots a runner passing by.

“Hi!” Sheeran shouts, before asking, “Any requests?” The surprised runner slows down, asking for “Tenerife Sea.” Without missing a beat, Sheeran starts strumming and singing the song. The runner quickly pulls out her phone to capture the surreal moment.

After finishing, he waves and says, “Have a good rest of your run!” The brief encounter has since blown up online, with fans calling it “the best video on the internet today.” Some have even been inspired to start running, hoping for their own personal concert.

Sheeran posted the video on Instagram with the caption, “Was filming a video on the canal today, played a request. If anyone knows the runner, let me know so we can have their POV video for the lols.”

Ultra-endurance athlete and clean seas activist Neil Agius is preparing for a new world record attempt to swim around the Maltese archipelago.

His team is closely monitoring sea and air conditions to find an ideal three-day window for the 160km open-water challenge.

As of Wednesday, Agius and his team are on 48-hour standby, ready to announce the swim any day. This will be the first time anyone has attempted to swim around Malta, Gozo, and Comino in a continuous loop.

Agius aims to surpass his own world record for the longest non-stop, unassisted, current-neutral sea swim, which he set in 2021 by swimming 125.7km from Linosa to Gozo. To break his record, he will need to extend the swim beyond the 104km distance around the islands.

Due to unpredictable weather, the exact route and departure details will only be revealed 48 hours in advance. Agius previously attempted a similar record-breaking swim in Spain last year but had to abandon it. If successful this time, Agius will reclaim his title with a new world record.
