Sasha Gatt Tests Positive For COVID After Olympics Race

Taking to social media, Maltese olympic swimmer Sasha Gatt revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 after her race.

This came as she opened up about her experience at the Olympics, writing:

‘After years of preparation and sacrifices boiling down to one moment, my journey at the Paris Olympic Games ends here.’

‘My performance was definitely not the outcome I expected or the result of the hard work I’ve put in. Only a very few people actually know how much I’ve been through these past 3 years and how much I fought to be here.’

‘Unfortunately after feeling unwell I tested positive for Covid after my race however I still went out there today and gave it my best shot not only for myself but for my coach who has been by my side through every single good and bad moment.’

She thanked everyone for the support as her Olympics journey comes to a close.

London Museum’s new Pigeon Logo Leaves Locals Unimpressed

The Museum of London, has revealed a new logo as part of its rebranding , which has sparked mixed reactions. The museum, scheduled to move to Smithfield Market in 2026 after delays and budget issues, unveiled a new log featuring a white clay pigeon with glittery golden excrement.

Museum Director Sharon Ament explained to Artnet that the design symbolizes London’s blend of “grit and glitter.” Senior curator Francis Marshall highlighted pigeons as long-standing symbols of the city.

The logo has faced criticism, Maxwell Blowfield, writing for the museum industry newsletter maxwell museums, disapproved of the choice, stating, ” In 15 years of living here, I can tell you nobody talks about pigeons.” He also doubted its originality, considering Paris’s pigeon-themed merchandise for the 2024 Olympics.

Despite the criticism, the museum aims to stay relevant by mirroring London’s diverse stories. Designed by Uncommon Creative Studio, the logo was developed with input from 33 Londoners, including artist, chefs, and museum professionals. Ament defended the logo, proposing a new interpretation of London and its animal cohabitation.

Though London is fairly extraordinary in and of itself, Blowfield said that the embled “seems to lack a meaningful representation of what makes London exceptional.”

At first Snoop seems to be very scared of his opponent but eventually builds up the courage to advance whilst giving some typical commentary.

Gymnast Simone Biles Bags 5th Olympic Gold Medal

Simone Biles secured her fifth Olympic gold medal by leading the United States to victory in the women’s gymnastics team final at the Bercy Arena.

Biles, alongside teammates Sunisa Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera, delivered a dominant performance, scoring 171.296, nearly six points ahead of Italy (165.494), who earned their first artistic gymnastics medal in 96 years.

Brazil claimed bronze (164.497), their first team medal in history, narrowly edging out Great Britain.

This win marks a return to dominance for the U.S. team after they settled for silver at the Tokyo Olympics when Biles withdrew from the team final due to mental health concerns.

The Americans excelled across all four disciplines, reclaiming the team gold for the third time in the last four Olympics.

Biles, who at 27 is the oldest American woman to compete in Olympic gymnastics since the 1950s, showed no signs of her recent calf injury, contributing significantly to the team’s success.

With this victory, she extended her record as the most decorated gymnast in history with 38 medals from the Olympics and World Championships. The team celebrated their win in sequined red, white, and blue leotards, with the result never in doubt.
