Pérez reportedly green-lit Ronaldo’s return stating “Of course, this is your home”, after CR7’s turbulent exit from English side Manchester United.

In between his United exit and Real Madrid training camp spotting, Ronaldo put on a performance with Portugal’s national team in Qatar for what was most probably his last World Cup appearance. Cristiano was last seen leaving the Al Thumama Stadium in tears after Portugal were eliminated by dark horse Morocco.

His nine-year stint at the Bernabeu not only cemented his status as a football legend but also contributed to a then world-record deal of £80 million from Manchester United. During his time at Real Madrid, Ronaldo won two LaLiga titles, four Champions Leagues, and four of his five Ballon d’Ors, making him a hot prospect for an eventual return to the Spanish side.

Since Ronaldo’s United exit, speculation has run rampant on who Ronaldo will spend the last few years of his footballing career with, with rumours including Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr and London’s own Chelsea F.C., amongst others.

Will Ronaldo actually return to Real Madrid?

“I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman”, Cavill stated in a lengthy post on Wednesday.

The British actor’s shock announcement comes ahead of some major changes to the DC Universe after Guardians of The Galaxy director James Gunn took helm of the entertainment brand.

With the spot for The Last Son of Krypton freshly-available, we believe that there are a few Maltese talents who could be a fitting replacement. Take a look and let us know what you think!

France beat Morocco to make it to World Cup final

Dec 14 2022 Share

Reigning champions France have beaten underdogs Morocco in a tense match to make it to yet another World Cup final.

France opened the scoring early on in the 5th minute from an acrobatic Theo Hernandez finish at the back post.

After a tense and cagy start to the half where Morocco where dominating the passage of play, France managed to extend their lead in the 78th minute after substitute  Randal Kolo Muani scored only 40 seconds after coming on.

The French players will switch their attention towards Lionel Messi’s Argentina who could easily halt their ambitions to retain the World Cup.
