RTK103 is gearing up for a 30-hour live broadcast marathon to raise funds for Dar tal-Providenza. The event, scheduled for November 30 and December 1, will feature a series of on-air challenges with RTK103 presenters, local bands, and personalities. The marathon aims to gather vital donations to support the institution’s ongoing work.
To promote the event, RTK103’s team launched a media stunt in Siġġiewi, where unusual road signs reading “30 hrs RTK103” and a telephone emoji appeared , directing attention to the upcoming charity broadcast. The idea was developed by RTK103 Head of Programs Amanda Ciappara and presenter Gabriel Lia.
In a video showcasing the stunt, Fr Martin Micallef, the director of Dar tal-Providenza, is seen stepping outside to check on the signs. The public is invited to visit the RTK193 studios in Blata l-Bajda to make donations during the marathon. The studios will be open for people to collect and present donations from family and friends with the goal of supporting Dar tal-Providenza’s mission to care for individuals with disabilities
