Rosianne Cutajar has shut down all claims that she called Nationalist MP Claudette Buttigieg “qaħba” in Parliament. In Malta Daily’s latest episode of ‘The Interview with Fabian Demicoli’, The Labour MP and candidate stated that not only did she not utter that word in parliament, but has been called that word for years, even opening a libel case on such language.
Cutajar stated that she was genuinely worried when Buttigieg said that she heard call her in such a manner, going as far as standing up to ensure her that she did not.
The former parliamentary for equality and reforms highlighted that she was frustrated at the fact that Buttigieg stood by her claim to “score political points” in that particular situation.
