Roberta Metsola Welcomes President Zelenskyy Back To EP

Taking to social media, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola shared the moment Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was welcomed back to the parliament as the invasion by Russia rages on.

‘We will continue to stand together for as long as it takes. For peace, for freedom, for security, for justice’, wrote Metsola.

Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022 on February 24th, a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War which started back in 2014.

Metsola has continuously sounded her support for the Ukrainians in the years since the invasion, meeting with Zelenskyy on multiple occasions as the country vies for membership in the European Union (a membership inputted as of 28th February 2022 – four days after it was invaded).

Liam got his start alongside One Direction through the singing competition, with stardom following soon after their joining together under the guide of Simon Cowell.

Other celebrities posted tributes for the artist, among them Rita Ora.

One Direction Members Mourn Liam Payne’s Passing

Taking to social media, boy band One Direction members Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry released a joint statement mourning the death of Liam Payne.

‘We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and hen everyone is able to, there will be more to say’, the group said.

‘But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly’.

‘The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly.’

The boys also released statements individually, with Harry Styles sharing a photo of Liam performing and a statement saying; ‘His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it.’

Total Number Of Students Graduated In Last Ten Years From UOM And MCAST Revealed

During a recent parliamentary session, Education Minister Clifton Grima disclosed the number of male and female graduates from the University of Malta and MCAST over the past ten academic years.

The minister reported that 22,810 women graduated from the University of Malta in that period, compared to 15,288 men.

Meanwhile, MCAST saw a higher number of male graduates, with 14,025 men completing their studies, while 12,922 women graduated from 2013/14 onwards.

These statistics were revealed during a recent parliamentary question session when MP Graziella Attard Previ asked Education Minister Clifton Grima about the number of students who graduated from MCAST and the University of Malta.
