European Parliament President Roberta Metsola had the wonderful opportunity to meet young Maltese girl Kate Ferriggi, who suffers from Tatton-Brown-Rahman Syndrome.

The syndrome is defined by overgrowth and mild-to-severe intellectual disability, and requires extensive medical care.

‘A very special meeting: with Kate, an impressive, resilient, young girl whose contagious smile spreads positivity and joy not only with those close to her, but with the people of Malta and Gozo whom she loves so much’, wrote Metsola.

Kate and her parents were invited whilst in Belgium for treatment to the European Parliament. They discussed how awareness can be created on the challenges that Kate faces in her daily life

Eminem is stepping into a new chapter of his life: becoming a grandfather. The rapper revealed the news in a music video for his song “Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey.

In the video, his daughter, Hailie Jade, 28, surprises him with a blue shirt that reads “Grandpa” and shows him a sonogram, leaving Eminem visibly stunned. Jade, a musical artist and podcaster, laughs as her father reacts to the announcement.

The video also features touching home videos from Jade’s childhood, interspersed with moments from her recent wedding to Evan McClintock. Eminem dedicates the song to his daughter, with lyrics reflecting on life’s circle and offering guidance for her future.

Following the video release, Jade shared sonogram photos on Instagram, announcing that she and McClintock are expecting their first child next year.

The couple, who have been together since 2016, got engaged in February 2023 and tied the knot in May. Jade expressed her happiness on social media, saying their wedding was filled with joy, love, and tears of happiness.

This will be the first child for Hailie Jade and her husband, Evan McClintock.

Transport Malta confirmed that a van has caught fire on the Marsa flyover.

‘Currently, Aldo Moro Road towards Garibaldi Road (southbound) is closed to traffic until the situation is under control.’

‘Enforcement Officers are on-site and are diverting traffic towards Vjal Santa Luċija. We encourage drivers to use this alternative route.’

It is currently unclear what cause the fire and whether anyone was injured.

Taking to social media, Opposition leader Bernard Grech shared a video clip compilation from his election as leader of the Nationalist Party, which took place four years ago.

Grech was elected back on October 3rd, 2020 with 69.3% of the vote after running against Adrian Delia, who received 30.7% of the vote. This makes Grech the ninth leader of the Nationalist Party.

The current leader shared clips from various moments of his recent political career – from his 1st speech as leader to his signing of documents and even campaigning in the 2022 general election.

‘Four years ago today. Thank you for your support. We continue to work’, wrote Grech.
