Robert Abela proud to be Prime Minister who stood his ground against those deemed ‘untouchable’

Mar 23 2021 Share

Interviewed by One News, Prime Minister Robert Abela claimed that he will keep working and doing his utmost best to see that justice is done and truth is unveiled. He also added that he is immensely proud of being the Prime Minister of a country wherein he stood his ground against those deemed untouchable and that anyone who deserves to face justice will do so.

Abela continued to state that any apology process moves according to what the relative process requires, meaning it depends upon the Judge and Police Commissioner’s advice. Abela continues by emphasising Jason Azzopardi’s lack of mention of the minister involved in the allegations and calls the Opposition Leader’s actions as cheap when concerning the apology of the Caruana Galizia murder.

These implications, according to Grech, continue to connect organised crime with Joseph Muscat and Robert Abela’s government. He concluded by stating that the ministers owe the nation an explanation, the situation cannot stay the same and that the institutions are not working as implicated by Abela.

Azzopardi also pointed out that Joseph Muscat appointed him to cabinet despite having knowledge of the situation. When addressing parliament this afternoon, Azzopardi said that Chris Cardona was the first and only person to visit Joseph Muscat after his resignation in November of 2019.

Azzopardi referred to convicted murderer Vincent Muscat’s recent request for second pardon in return for naming of sitting minister in alleged failed 2010 heist. He proceeded to challenge Prime Minister Robert Abela to reveal when he last had contact with Adrian and Robert Agius, charged with the Caruana Galizia murder.
