Following the recent stir caused by the tax issues between Robert Abela, Bernard Grech and tax chief Martin Gaerty, the police have denied the fact they require the PM’s go-ahead.
Moreover, Robert Abela has also stated that he was only doing his duty in reporting Grech’s tax situation to the tax commissioner.
The Prime Minister explained how every citizen carries the responsibility of reporting law-breaking to the respective authorities.

Insider reports from Times of Malta have emerged recently suggesting that the closure of bars & clubs may be extended past the first of January 2020, potentially creating a problem for local business owners.
Initial reports stated that these establishments could open towards the beginning of December, when shortly after, Prime Minister Robert Abela announced an extension of their closure.
As it stands, the legal notice states that bars and clubs are not to open until January 1st 2021 and it is unclear whether or not the decision is confirmed, but only time will tell.

Żifna is an artistic project which portrays the power of movement and dance across the Maltese Islands. For the 12th instalment of the Żifna project, the goal was to capture the Christmas and New Year Spirit across various localities in Malta.
The dancers who took part in the final Żifna are; Kimberly Lowell, Nicole Schembri, Deedee Clark and Becky Gatt.
