
Richmond Foundation has officially announced its annual conference, “Mind & Body – Partners in Mental Wellbeing,” set to take place on 30 May 2025 at Villa Arrigo, Naxxar.
The conference will focus on the powerful and often overlooked connection between mental and physical health, bringing together experts from multiple disciplines to explore holistic approaches to wellbeing.
The one-day event is designed for healthcare professionals, educators, allied health workers, and anyone interested in the integration of mind and body in mental health care. It will feature a full programme of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, addressing topics such as trauma’s impact on the body, lifestyle choices and emotional resilience, and the therapeutic use of movement.
The Speakers Include:
Georgie Oldfield MCSP – A UK-based physiotherapist and educator specializing in chronic pain and the mind-body connection.
Professor Godfrey Grech – Associate Professor at the University of Malta, renowned for his work in molecular oncology.
Sarah Vella – Dance artist and therapist integrating movement and mental health
Dr. Nigel Camilleri – Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr. Gabriel Ellul – Psychiatrist focusing on trauma-informed care and complex mental health conditions.
Dr. Adele Muscat – Sport and Performance Psychologist with extensive experience in athlete mental health.
Dr. Denis Vella Baldacchino – Malta’s Commissioner for the Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Mental Disorders.
