The Malta Football Association have announced that resurfacing works are currently ongoing at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
The Victor Tedesco Stadium is located in the heart of Hamrun and has a seated capacity of 1,800 fans.
The stadium serves as the official home of Maltese champions Hamrun Spartans, however is no longer used in Malta Premier League matches.
The three stadiums used in the Premier League are the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Centenary Stadium and the national Ta’ Qali stadium.
There have been many rumbling talks about clubs wanting to develop and build their own stadiums to improve and increase atmosphere as well as their revenues.
Several clubs such as Floriana, Valletta, Naxxar Lions and even Hamrun Spartans have laid out plans in recent years to build or develop existing grounds into fully fledged commercial stadiums.
As of right now the only football played on the Victor Tedesco Stadium is Maltese Challenge League and Maltese National Amateur League.
