Jul 6 2022 Share

With a colourful poster commemorating their 100th day in office, the Labour Party marked the milestone on Wednesday following the March general election.

Addressing a press conference, PL Deputy Leader Daniel Micallef and PL MP Cressida Galea ran down all of the proposals which the party sought to implement in these 100 days.

Micallef said that promise and fulfilment characterise the proposals which Prime Minister Robert Abela promised to implement. The PM himself also took to Facebook to commemorate the day.

He said in this period, the government implemented the plan along with the FATF to exit the grey-list as well as working on measures to keep fuel and energy prices stable. ‘They were 100 days wherein we started to work on all sectors using the manifesto “Malta Flimkien”’ he said.

On her part, new and young MP Cressida Galea said during the press conference that the economy is continuing to grow and that the government is adamant on reducing the burdens placed on people as a result of the Ukraine war.

’The new and strong mandate given by the electorate last March will continue to fill us with courage so that with more courage and determination, we will continue to move Malta forward’ she said.
