Malta is riding high on a wave of tourism success like never before!
The Maltese Islands have just experienced a mind-blowing first half year that’s rewriting the history books of wanderlust and adventure.
According to the National Statistics Office, the numbers are in, and they’re nothing short of spectacular, because a staggering 1,289,292 thrill-seeking tourists flocked to the Maltese Islands between January and June of this year. A whopping 6.7% increase compared to the same period back in 2019 before COVID19 struck.
Tourist expenditure during these epic months skyrocketed to a jaw-dropping €1,036,795,000. That’s a colossal 17.4% surge compared to the pre-pandemic era of the previous year.
Nights spent under Maltese skies are a record-breaking phenomenon, racking up a whopping 8,145,915 nights.
