A video uploaded to Natalis Notabilis’ Facebook page, an annual event held in the heart of Rabat, detailed a recent back and forth which took place between the organisers and sanitary officials.
An organiser explained to the public on stage that the event was about to be fined for not having sinks behind each stand, despite this reportedly not being the case in previous years.
The organiser explained that for the sinks to be established, the entire activity would have to be taken down and set up again. An agreement was therefore reached wherein the plans for sinks for next year were handed to the organisers.
However, the following day and despite the agreement, sanitary workers once again showed up and claimed to have to fine the organisers.
The organisers explained that they were ready to stop the entire event, to which the sanitary authorities replied by stating that this is not necessary.
The organiser said that those involved are serious about the event and that they would be ready to stop it if those involved would be fined or taken to court over the unknown sink rule.
