Quarantine may be a thing of the past for fully-vaccinated people

Following today’s COVID-19 media briefing, quarantine may become a thing of the past for individuals who have received both their COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Superintendent for Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci has revealed that while currently, vaccinated people are advised to quarantine if they come into contact with a positive case, guidelines are currently being discussed at an EU level.

In the United States, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had amended it’s COVID-19 protocol, making it that fully-vaccinated individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19 do not have to quarantine as long as they are free of symptoms.

Testing before ending quarantine is no longer mandatory for people who do not develop symptoms

Professor Charmaine Gauci has said during a live media briefing that, If someone tests positive for COVID-19, the person and everyone around him/her must quarantine.

If you don’t have any symptoms there’s no need for testing before completing your 14-day quarantine.

People who are in the same household and do not develop symptoms do not need to test before leaving quarantine either.

Perseverance Rover lands on Mars after seven-month journey

After seven month’s of traversing through space, NASA’s Perseverance Rover will begin searching for life on Mars after landing on Martian soil, with NASA’s mission control reporting “Touchdown confirmed.”

The rover sent back the first black-and-white images of rocky land in the Jezero Crater within 11 minutes, which is the length of time it takes from radio signals to return to Earth.

Perseverance will embark on a mission to collect 30 fragments of rock and soil, seal them in tubes and send them back to Earth sometime around 2030 for analysis.
