‘Qalb Tad-Deheb’ is more than just a song – it’s a celebration of unity, courage, and the heart of the Maltese people. Commissioned for Malta’s 50th Anniversary as a Republic – its golden anniversary – this song reflects on our shared journey as a nation and the values that have always driven us forward – unity, solidarity, and resilience.

With music by Dominic Galea, lyrics and concept by Sean Buhagiar, and production by Manolito Galea, Qalb Tad-Deheb is a gift to the people of Malta. Commissioned by the National Celebrations Foundation, it reminds us of the extraordinary things we can achieve when we work together. It’s a song born from the heart, for the heart.

But it doesn’t stop at the music. Over the past days, Qalb Tad-Deheb has come to life in public spaces across Malta through a series of surprise flash mobs. The joyful performances brought people together in moments of music, unity, and generosity. Those present were invited to join in and contribute towards a greater cause.

All funds collected during these flash mobs will be donated to the Malta Community Chest Fund – a reflection of the very heart of this project. But it doesn’t end there. The song is now available on YouTube and will soon be released on Spotify. All proceeds from plays and streams will be donated to the Malta Community Chest Fund, ensuring that the message of Qalb Tad-Deheb continues to create a positive impact.
