
Environmental Health Directorate has issued a public notice advising against swimming at Qaliet Street, Marsascala, following an overflow of foul water near the public toilets. This contamination may affect bathing water quality and poses a risk to public health. Environmental Health Officers are currently investigating the source of the pollution. The duration of this issue remains uncertain.
The affected site, coded A07 Fajtata, has been clearly signposted. Once water quality is restored, the warning signs will be removed, and the public will be informed accordingly.

In a related update, the Directorate has lifted a previous health warning for several bathing sites in Xlendi Bay, Xlendi. Following repeated water sampling, the sites coded D04, D05, D06, and D07 have been deemed fit for bathing once again.
