Following her presentation of the Ġieħ ir-Repubblika award on Sunday, Superintendent for Public Health Charmaine Gauci took to Facebook to dedicate this honour to the public health team, healthcare workers, front-linters, families and patients.
Prof. Gauci stated how humbled she is by receiving this honour and through the pandemic, we have grown together as a country.

Love it or hate it, Shrek is an all-time classic and America’s National Film Registry have cemented its greatness by adding to its list in the Library of Congress.
The registry recognises the most ‘cultural, historically or aesthetically’ significant films throughout history with films like Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, The Shawshank Redemption and more. Shrek was one of the 25 entries for 2020 and entered alongside films like Grease, The Hurt Locker and The Dark Knight.

The European Medicines Agency has stated that the COVID-19 vaccine approval meeting has been moved to December 21st, more than a week before the previously scheduled date.
This change follows pressure on European regulator from desperate countries such as Germany and was thus moved forward from December 29th to the 21st.

Following her previous reports of a hiatus due to personal reasons, Jesy Nelson took to Instagram to report that she has officially left the band in a long, touching message.
The 29-year-old singer stated that she is leaving Little Mix due to the effects on her mental health and the difficulty she found in living up to expectations.
Little Mix followed up with a Twitter-thread, calling the move ‘an incredibly sad time for all of us’ whilst also showing their support towards Jesy.
