Prime Minister Robert Abela has visited the Child, Adolescent and Youth Services Centre in Victoria, Gozo, accompanied by Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri and Minister for Health and Active Ageing Jo Etienne Abela.
The centre provides a wide range of medical and therapeutic services for children and young people, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy and child and adolescent psychiatry.
It also offers newer services such as family therapy, community paediatrics and educational dental hygiene.
Located close to Gozo General Hospital, the facility currently supports around 300 children along with their families.
During the visit, the Prime Minister met several families who benefit from these services and thanked the team of professionals for their dedicated work.
He highlighted the importance of offering care that puts children and families at the centre, while remaining accessible to the local community.
This centre is part of the Government’s wider commitment to delivering integrated, high-quality healthcare in Gozo. It reflects ongoing investment in both medical infrastructure and professional capacity, ensuring that Gozitan residents have access to essential support close to home.
The facility also aims to create an inclusive and supportive environment for young people and their families.
