The streets of Hamrun have come alive on Saturday morning, as supporters of the Spartans continue to decorate the streets for a day of celebrations.
St. Joseph High Street’s wave of red comes as a result of Hamrun’s 22.04 celebrations, with a long day of celebrations starting at the stadium before continuing at Strada Rjali with a host of local talent.
Performers will include Shaun Farrugia, Greenfields’ Joe Tanti, Versatile Brass, Nate, Kurt Calleja Maxine, Gaia, Koroma, Miggy and many more.
The Hamrun Spartans are the winners of the 2023 BOV Premier League, the ninth league win in the club’s history.
Hamrun Local Council Mayor Christian Sammut reported that a number of roads will be closed in the celebration’s run-up, with the length of St. Joseph High Street remaining closed from Saturday 22nd at 7am to Sunday 23rd at 3am.
