Fresh artistic work is currently being undertaken on the various ramps of the locality’s skatepark, which will greet youth this weekend.

Immanuel had the opportunity to sing during a mass held on Mirabelle’s birthday, sharing the strong words her parents wrote in memory of their daughter.

The letter describes Mirabelle as a beautiful blossom chosen by God which will continue to brighten wherever she may be now.

‘Because now, from heaven, you loom down upon us Mirabelle. A place of peace and far away from sorrow and suffering.’

‘It’s a pity, my daughter, that you had to leave us at such a young age’, the letter continues. The letter prays to Mirabelle to continue looking down on her loved ones..

‘We love you forever, our dearest one’, the letter concludes.

5 Persons Arrested After Hamrun Police Assault

Minister for Home Affairs, Security, and Employment, Dr. Byron Camilleri, took to social media to inform the public that several individuals were arrested after assaulting police officers in Ħamrun this evening. The incident occurred while the officers were performing their duties in the locality.

Dr. Camilleri strongly condemned the acts, emphasising the need for greater respect towards police officers and all public servants. He also urged the courts to reflect the seriousness of such offenses in their rulings.

Meanwhile, Shadow Minister for Home Affairs, Security, and Reforms, Darren Carabott, addressed the incident, describing it as “another black day for the police forces of Malta.” Carabott not only condemned the violent actions but also criticized what he called the “lack of resources available to the Maltese police in such circumstances.”

In addition to his statement, Carabott shared videos of the evening’s events, revealing the shocking footage of civilians attacking police officers in Ħamrun.

As of yet, it has not been communicated whether any police personnel or other individuals were injured during the incident. Both political figures have called for urgent attention to the challenges facing the police force, with Camilleri stressing respect for public servants and Carabott pointing to the need for greater resources.

UPDATED WITH POLICE DETAILS

Four Maltese men and one Maltese woman are being kept under arrest after yesterday, at around 2030hrs, assaulted two police officers during their duty in Triq il-Kbira San Ġużepp, Ħamrun.

The officers were assaulted after they fined an illegally parked car.

It was at that point that a number of persons exited an establishment and began arguing with police.

Despite being given orders to maintain public order and cooperation, the persons assaulted the officers, forcing the latter to use pepper spray and taser.

More police arrived on site and controlled the situation. A 42 year old woman and two men, aged 46 and 44, were arrested on site. Investigations also showed that two other persons had fled the scene – two men aged 23 and 33.

They were identified and arrested in their respective residences.

A medical team was called on site and transported two police officers to Mater Dei. One was certified as having suffered grievous injuries and another suffered light injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
