The Premier League saw a 22% increase in attendance, with the Floriana vs. Ħamrun Spartans match on April 27th drawing the largest crowd of 9,090 spectators.
In three separate meetings, the Malta FA administration, led by President Bjorn Vassallo, presented statistics and financial details to officials from the Premier League, Challenge League, and National Amateur League.
Ħamrun Spartans, Floriana, and Valletta attracted the most fans throughout the 2023/24 season. The Challenge League also experienced a 5% rise in attendance, with the highest turnout of 1,259 fans at the Melita vs. Żabbar St. Patrick match on April 13th.

However, the National Amateur League saw a 9% decline in attendance, with the highest recorded crowd at the Qormi vs. Mġarr United match on March 10th.
Overall, the three divisions recorded a total attendance of 169,523, an 11% increase from the previous season.
The Development Pot Scheme, which rewards clubs for investing in young local talent, highlighted Santa Lucia, Naxxar Lions, and Mosta in the Premier League, and other clubs in lower divisions as top beneficiaries.
Ħamrun Spartans registered the most foreign players, while Floriana and Naxxar Lions had the fewest. The Malta FA spent €1,477,000 on logistics and organization for 690 matches, subsidizing €647,000 to cover 44% of the costs.
From the 2024/25 season, the Premier League will be organized by the Malta Premier League, with the Malta FA continuing to oversee other domestic competitions.
