‘Negative COVID-19 test or vaccine certificate should be travel criteria’ – MHRA

Jan 15 2021 Share

The Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association has released a statement highlighting that while vaccine certificates are an agreeable requirement for travel, they should not be the only travel criteria.

The association stated that only utilising a vaccine passport limits travel solely to that group of people and went on to recommend that a traveller presents either the certificate or a negative COVID-19 test.

MHRA President Tony Zahra noted how the effects of the pandemic hit the tourism industry like a tsunami and urged the requirement for a negative test OR vaccine certificate as criteria for travellers.
