One of Jake Vella’s closest friends drew an uncannily similar portrait of the young athlete-turned-guitarist.

The portrait was drawn by Martina, who gifted Jake the portrait and runs the page ‘The Little Artist’ on Facebook.

Martina’s other work was chosen as a finalist in the ADHD Malta Art Campaign, and was chosen for the 2023-2024 school calendar.

The Association for Abandoned Animals shared the story of Tyson, an approximately 6 year old dog who was found by Animal Welfare.

He was first taken to the vet, where he did not stop eating. Thankfully, the AAA reported, his livers and kidneys are fine but he is suffering from untreated leishmania (sandfly).

‘There seems to be no end to abuse and abandonment in this country. He was a confiscation by animals elfare and his owner is known. Now, we only hope that his owner will be taken to court or else the cycle of abuse on new victims will never stop.’

‘Get well soon Tyson baby, no human will ever starve you and hurt you again.’

The artist, Twitch Malta, drew the iconic yellow characters, with Homer Simpson wondering if having epilepsy would earn him money.

The story broke through Times of Malta, who revealed that former PL MP Silvio Grixti, a doctor by profession, has been implicated in a benefit fraud scheme.

This saw people receive forged documents to receive social security benefits meant for people suffering from disabilities. Claimants could have been receiving monthly payments of around €450 from the social security department.

The graffiti also depicts Nick Riviera, whose medical qualifications are often the subject of mockery on the show, as well as Springfield police chief Clancy Wiggum and Fat Tony, a mobster.
