Police Release Official Photos Of Monday Kirkop Crash

Christ Gatt, a 24-year-old from Imtarfa, tragically lost his life in an accident near the Ħal Kirkop tunnels, close to Malta International Airport, at around 9:15 PM, ONE News reported.

He was driving a BMW, with a 23-year-old passenger accompanying him. The passenger was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.

Initial reports indicate that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Members of the Civil Protection Department were the first to respond after a 112 emergency call reported individuals trapped in a vehicle.

Emergency personnel arrived shortly after, confirming Gatt’s passing at the scene, while the passenger was transported to the hospital by ambulance and reported to be in stable condition.

Artists Behind Team 'KANT' Celebrate Eurovision Win

Miriana Conte shined this past weekend, winning the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with her iconic song ‘KANT’.

Behind the creative process and the hard work were also a number of creatives and artists who put on a massive show – making sure that ‘KANT’ got the spectacle it deserved.

Among them was Steven Levi Vella, who celebrated the win by posting a picture of himself and Miriana and writing, ‘We did it again. Miriana Conte for Eurovision.’

Chloe Scicluna, who was also behind the creative process, wrote a heartfelt appreciation to Miriana and the rest of the team,

‘From trusting in me when I was 16 to winning the Eurovision in 2025 in a leotard and tights.’

‘Who would have thought we would get to this point? I would write a whole long paragraph, but you, the team and myself all know how much work this took and how many things we experienced on the way, yet we still pushed through.’

Local dance crew Street Elements just qualified for the Dance World Cup Finals in Spain, acquiring an 88.5 score i.e first place in the Children large Group Street Dance Category.

The local crew, led by Charlene Grange, a co-founder of Street Elements Hiphop Artists along with husband Liston Bongailas, secured a spot in a competition which brings talent from around the world.

‘This achievement is a testament to our hard work, dedication, and passion for hip-hop and dance’, wrote the school on social media.

‘Let’s keep pushing and representing Malta the way it deserves!’
