Triq San Ġorġ in St. Julian’s witnessed a brief but intense disturbance on Friday morning when a young woman obstructed traffic, causing confusion and frustration among both drivers and pedestrians.

The incident unfolded on one of the busiest streets in the area, leading to a temporary standstill as vehicles were forced to stop. Eyewitnesses reported that the girl’s behavior was erratic, resulting in a chaotic scene that disrupted the usual flow of traffic. Some drivers honked their horns, while pedestrians attempted to navigate the congestion.

Fortunately, the police arrived swiftly, responding to the commotion. Authorities acted quickly to remove the girl from the roadway, restoring order before the situation could escalate further.

The cause of the girl’s behaviour remains unclear, and it is not yet known if she faces any charges. Nonetheless, many took to social media to applaud the police for their efforts, who appreciated their efforts to minimise disruption in the busy nightlife hub. Triq San Ġorġ was back to normal shortly after the incident, with no further disturbances reported.

Cheryl Cole has spoken out following the heartbreaking death of her former partner, Liam Payne. In an emotional statement on Friday, she urged the public and media to approach the coverage of Payne’s passing with sensitivity and respect.

Cole, who shares a son, Bear, with Payne from their relationship between 2016 and 2018, expressed her deep grief and concern for their son’s future. “As I try to navigate this earth-shattering event and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I’d like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being,” she wrote, sharing a touching photo of Liam and Bear. Payne tragically passed away on Wednesday after a fall from a hotel in Buenos Aires. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Cole concluded by pleading for compassion, asking for Payne to be allowed dignity and peace in his final rest.
