The Nationalist Party leader, Bernard Grech, has called for a Public Inquiry to reveal the truth about the case of Jean Paul Sofia, a 20-year-old who lost his life three months ago.
Grech made the announcement during a news conference alongside Deputies Jerome Caruana Cilia and Stanley Zammit, where they addressed the lack of action taken by the government in response to the tragedy.
Grech met with Sofia’s relatives earlier this week, who expressed their frustration with the lack of action being taken.
The Nationalist Party leader stressed the importance of finding out the whole truth to prevent another tragedy like this from happening.
Jerome Caruana Cilia criticised the government for refusing to hold a Public Inquiry despite appeals, while Stanley Zammit accused the government of failing in its responsibilities and leaving the victims’ relatives in the dark.
