You might still be debating Pizza Tortellini’s existence, but Pizza Hut Japan have released another bizarre pizza.

Pizza Hut Japan has unveiled a unique culinary creation, the “Kotteri-fuu Ramen Pizza,” as part of its 50th-anniversary TikTok initiative.

Developed in collaboration with ramen chain Tenka Ippin, the limited-time offering features crispy dough and noodles, topped with chashu pork and green onions.

The pizza pays homage to the rich and thick kotteri broth from Tenka Ippin’s ramen, turning it into a flavorful sauce that captures the essence of traditional ramen.

This innovative creation follows Pizza Hut Japan’s earlier quirky pizzas, like the “Too Much Coriander Pizza” and “Weiner Coffee Pizza.” Priced at ¥1,980 JPY for pick-up and ¥2,230 JPY for delivery, the Kotteri-fuu Ramen Pizza is available until February 12, celebrating Pizza Hut Japan’s anniversary with the slogan “Always more than you can imagine.”

The fusion of pizza and ramen showcases Japan’s culinary creativity and continues the trend of inventive and unexpected food combinations in the country.

YouTube sensation MrBeast, renowned for extravagant giveaways and viral stunts, is reportedly in advanced talks with Amazon’s Prime Video for a reality-competition show, as confirmed by Variety.

While specific details, including the show’s title, remain undisclosed, the format is expected to mirror MrBeast’s YouTube challenges, featuring substantial cash prizes.

Amazon declined to comment on the rumoured deal, and MrBeast’s representatives have not responded to inquiries. Initial reports from Puck suggest the potential deal could be valued at around $100 million, but caution that it has not been officially finalised.

MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, holds the title of the most-followed individual creator on YouTube, boasting 233 million subscribers. Amazon aims to leverage his massive online presence to attract viewers to the Prime Video show.

Beyond YouTube, Donaldson manages various channels, such as MrBeast Gaming and Beast Reacts. The 25-year-old internet sensation is reportedly the highest-earning creator, accumulating an estimated $82 million in gross earnings from June 2022 to June 2023, according to Forbes.

Additionally, Donaldson is involved in diverse business ventures, including Feastables, a snack food line, and the MrBeast Burger restaurant chain.

Despite his success, Donaldson faced legal challenges, with a lawsuit against Virtual Dining Concepts, the operator of MrBeast Burger, alleging reputation damage and seeking to terminate their agreement. Virtual Dining Concepts responded with a counterclaim seeking $100 million for breach of contract.

Following videos which went viral showing the local Filipino community celebrating Sinulog-Santo Nino in Marsaskala, Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri took to social media to hit out at discriminatory and offensive remarks made by some people online.

‘In these last few hours, I saw offensive comments directed at the Maltese Filipino community as they celebrated their religious feast in the most peaceful manner’, wrote Minister Camilleri.

‘This is an annual celebration which they commemorate with the statue of Baby Jesus in the streets of Marsascala.’

He contrasted the reaction by remembering back to when he visited Maltese communities in Canada and the US a few months ago.

There, he was happy seeing many Maltese celebrating their identity thousands of kilometres away from our shores. ‘They kept Maltese tradition alive through food, language, bands and even statues of saints.’

Turning to the Filipino community in Malta, the Minister said that these comments do not capture the honest beliefs of those Maltese and Gozitan people with good intentions.

‘If these people can be great carers, accountants and waiters among us, there is no reason for them to not live their lives in peace alongside us.’
