One person has sadly died and more than 30 others were unfortunately injured on a Singapore Airline Flight from London to Singapore.
The Singapore bound flight had to be diverted and made an emergency landing at Thai capital city Bangkok.
Flight tracking data suggested that the plane made a sudden dip dropping 6,000 feet in a matter of minutes. The flight was carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members.
The airline in a statement also offered their deepest condolences to the family of the deceased who as of right now remains unnamed.
One passenger revealed to Reuters news that the plane suddenly started “tilting up and there was shaking”.
28-year old student Dzafran Azmir continued on by stating “So I started bracing for what was happening, and very suddenly there was a very dramatic drop so everyone seated and not wearing seatbelt was launched immediately into the ceiling,”
“Some people hit their heads on the baggage cabins overhead and dented it, they hit the places where lights and masks are and broke straight through it.”
Singapore Airline later confirmed that 31 passengers were taken to hospital and that the remaining passengers and crew were examined and given treatment at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
