Several people around the globe have started a brand new trend, leaving money and gift cards in baby items in supermarkets to help struggling mothers.

Baby items such as baby food and diapers have all been filled with these gifts, with many being filmed and posted to social media site TikTok.

The trend called, “She Deserved The Purse”, began in the USA when TikTok user Danesha Gonzalez found a purse with the tag still on abandoned in the baby section of the store stating that the mum deserved the purse.

The video garnered 4 million likes and sparked a whole new trend in awareness of every mother who sacrifice so much for their children.

UK social media influencer Liana Jade shared a video of herself placing £5 and £10 notes in baby items at a Sainsbury’s store, along with encouraging messages like “You are so loved” and “You’ve got this.”

“This is the sweetest trend to ever go around,” she commented.

Progress on Marsalforn Breakwater Project

Sep 26 2024 Share

The Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri, has announced significant advancements in the Marsalforn Breakwater project.

Over the past few months, the project has been making steady progress, particularly with the completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study, as mandated by the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA).

Minister Camilleri revealed that the ERA plans to initiate a consultation process in the coming weeks, lasting one month. This will allow interested parties to review and analyze the prepared document and contribute their feedback.

The chosen design for the project has already been evaluated and approved by the Local Council of Żebbuġ, with an emphasis on achieving two key objectives: safeguarding the beach from storm damage and ensuring minimal visual impact.

During his address, the minister reiterated the government’s commitment not to transform Marsalforn into a yacht marina or engage in any related maritime activities. This position aligns with the agreement reached with the Local Council of Żebbuġ, which oversees Marsalforn beach.

“This is a holistic project, part of the master plan for Marsalforn, which will see the beach expand once the breakwater is completed. The approved design will ensure that circulation in the bay remains natural, allowing this popular beach to be enjoyed by all visitors,” stated Minister Camilleri.

Joseph Cutajar, the Director of Eco-Gozo, is leading the presentation for this project. He also received a technical overview from the architect in charge, Frank Muscat, highlighting the collaborative efforts behind the initiative.
