St Julian’s mayor Albert Buttigieg took to Facebook to reveal the state of his locality after commercial trash was left on the streets, uncollected by the concerned authorities.

The garbage bags and other trash stood out on Paceville’s roads, with Buttigieg saying that the local council picks up residential wast, with only organic waste was being collected on such a day.

‘This is all commercial waste which is supposedly collected by private contractors’ he said. ‘According to law, shops must have a contractor.’

‘Although great efforts are being made to bring in tourists, this is definitely not the way’ he said, calling out the MTA and ERA. ‘Now that the election is over, there is no fear that a vote will be lost’ he said.
