Partit ABBA leader Ivan Grech Mintoff interrupted Prime Minister Robert Abela’s Freedom Day Speech yesterday evening by throwing eggs towards the ground in the direction of the Labour Party leader.

The party leader approached the Prime Minister, attempting to argue that the government has gone against Malta’s constitutional neutrality through joining NATO’s partnership.

Grech Mintoff was removed from the stage as he approached the Prime Minister, with the latter asking the rally audience to keep calm and continuing on with his speech after an applause of support.

In a separate press statement, Partit ABBA alleged that the government has signed the Peace Partnership with NATO and sent Maltese soldiers to military missions despite Malta’s neutrality clause.
