Over €10,700 raised for Kate in €1 per burpee challenge

Local boxer Steve Martin had undertaken his €1 per one burpee challenge and managed to raise upwards of €10,771 for a young girl named Kate Ferrigi.

Kate suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Tatton Brown Rahman Syndrome (TBRS), a condition which causes physical overgrowth as well as developmental difficulties.

Martin courageously undertook the difficult challenge, managing to execute a whopping 1,640 burpees in a three hour intensive livestream.

The money raised will all go towards Kate’s treatment costs, which amount to around €2,500 per month. Steve was joined by other athletes who contributed to the challenge alongside the boxer as others pitched in to donate.

68 year old Gozitan woman grievously injured in car accident

Police were informed today at around 1500hrs that their assistance was needed in Triq ir-Rabat, ix-Xagħra, Gozo due to a traffic accident.

Preliminary investigations sowed that a 68-year-old woman resident of Xagħra, Gozo lost control of her vehicle, a Mazda Demio, and crashed into a roundabout.

A medical team was called onto to the site to give the needed assistance before the woman was transported to Gozo General hospital. She was later certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.

Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez gifts him a Rolls Royce for Christmas

Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez has gifted the world renowned player a brand new Rolls Royce for Christmas.

The 37-year-old footballer, who is currently in talks with Saudi Arabian football club Al-Nassr to close a landmark £175 million per year deal, could be seen enjoying his new ride with his family.

The Rolls Royce could have probably cost his partner well over £250K, as she presented it to the player with a big red bow. A Santa Claus was also featured in the gift giving to completely seal the Christmas spirit.

The family quickly jumped into the vehicle to take it out for a spin after Ronaldo was able to entirely process his wife’s brand new gift.

Boozy Bingo gives out Minis-Tree featuring Maltese politician ornaments

You’ve heard of Christmas trees, but get this… MINIS-TREE.

Local event Boozy Bingo has taken it a step further this Boxing Day with their spectacular prize of a Christmas Tree featuring multiple members of Malta’s cabinet.

Political figures from both sides of the coin dangled atop the Boozy Bingo Christmas Tree before it was gifted to an attendee of the event.

The tree featured familiar faces such as Prime Minister Robert Abela and Opposition leader Bernard Grech, as well as Eve Borg Bonello, Aaron Farrugia, Claudette Buttigieg, Clayton Bartolo, Ian Borg, Adrian Delia and Chris Fearne amongst others.
