Following the lifting of COVID-19 health measures last week, more than 20,000 people gathered in New York to watch the Foo Fighters at a full capacity event. The event in Madison Square Garden allowed the whopping guest amount for the first time since the pandemic started. With over 70% of adults in New York vaccinated with at least one dose, the measures were lifted off commercial businesses, social settings, sports and recreation events, construction, manufacturing and retail.
There were no social distancing or mask requirements regulations at the 8:00 pm concert. The concertgoers however had to be fully vaccinated in order to attend, with everyone showing proof of this at the door. These rules did prompt some protest from anti-vaxxers, but the concert went on as part of the Foo Fighters’ delayed 25th anniversary tours.
