Online uproar ensued after a photo surfaced showing a baby lying on the floor during a Taylor Swift concert in Paris.
The image, captured by Twitter user @jacnights13, depicted the infant asleep on a purple coat in the standing room section of Swift’s show at the La Défense Arena. While an unidentified person stood over the baby, it was not clear whether they were the child’s parent or guardian.
Amidst the controversy, a woman claiming to be related to the baby’s family defended the situation online. She confirmed the baby was fine and had his own ticket, attributing the incident to a lapse in parental judgment.
In response to the public backlash, a spokesperson for Paris La Défense Arena highlighted venue policies, stating that all minors must be accompanied by an adult and remain under their guardian’s responsibility.
The spokesperson also noted that while the venue does not recommend bringing children under four due to the high volume, an alternative seating arrangement was offered but declined by the ticket holders.
This incident has sparked a broader conversation about the suitability of such environments for young children.
