Outer Banks Season 3 set to release in late December 2022

Outer Banks Season 3 set to release in late December 2022

Outer Banks has established itself as one of Netflix’s staple shows in recent years. However, it looks as though the third season of the beloved show could be set for a late December 2022 release.

According to fresh new rumours from the Netflix fan page Netflix Daily Updates, it has been reported that the usual summer release date will be pushed back for winter time.

Netflix has not yet confirmed the rumour, but it does seem quite likely due to the fact that production on season 3 did not even begin until February 2022. This means production on the season could run as late as August.

There would be no way for Netflix to release the season during a summer month as we saw with seasons 1 and 2. The streaming giant has so far used December to drop major series in the past, such as Bridgerton, the Witcher and Emily in Paris.

Outer Banks has traditionally dropped in summer, with its setting and vibe all working well with the sea-side atmosphere. However, a holiday release could also bode well for Netflix as people are more likely to find some free time to binge the teen mystery drama.

PN will not back Anglu Farrugia and call for ‘impartial’ speaker

PN will not back Anglu Farrugia and call for ‘impartial’ speaker

The Opposition has stated that it will not back up the re-election of Anglu Farrugia as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The Nationalist Party issued a statement late Tuesday which invited Prime Minister Robert Abela to hold a discussion with the oppositional party with the aim of finding an agreement on the appointment of an impartial and independent speaker.

The PN went on to say that it cannot allow a repetition of what took place in the last legislature as Farrugia is seemingly set to be the Speaker for the third consecutive term.

All he needs is a majority in the House, but the PN had not supported the nomination back in 2013. It went on to agree to it in 2017 when Simon Busuttil captained the PN. The PN is now insisting that PM Robert Abela offer a hand of friendship to the opposition as this will be the first occasion in which he can show her really means what he says.

Anglu Farrugia had previously stated that he would like to have PN backing for this legislature, but will go on to retain his post even if this were not the case.

Fgura United shaping youth football by offering free exam assistance to students

Fgura United shaping youth football by offering free exam assistance to students

On an island where education and other passions seem to be divided by the concept of ‘job vs hobby’, Fgura United have made it their mission to bridge the gap and help students thrive in both areas.

This is because the Fgura Football Club will be offering free assistance to students, whether or not they are members of the club, as they prepare and sit for their benchmark examinations.

Students are being encouraged to go to Victor Calvagna Hall where students will be met by qualified educators and teachers to help them in completing their homework assignments. The initiative is being led by Fgura United president Larkin Bonnici, who set up such a programme five years ago.

Bonnici revealed back in 2020 in an interview with Times of Malta’s SportsDesk that as a club, they decided to give added value that others maybe do not provide.

The after-school programmes for youths as young as those in the Under-4 age group, the initiative seeks to help players in their technical, social and educational development whilst using football as they way to do it.

‘This way’ he said ‘we don’t see their technical development as an opportunity cost to their education but a complement to it.’ Other skills, ranging from leadership and communication, are also being fostered in the programme, to make sure kids are prepared for all scenarios in life.
