One Piece Beats Records Set By Stranger Things & Wednesday

Netflix’s latest adaptation of One Piece has already surpassed records held by fan favourites Stranger Things and Wednesday.

The live-action adaptation of a Japanese manga and anime series hasmanaged to capture audience attention after Netflix was arguably suffering some of the worst subscriber exodus in years.The series follows Monkey D. Luffy as he gathers a crew of pirates to find a mysterious treasure known as One Piece.

Now, according to data provider FlixPatrol, the first season of the show has beaten records set by the aforementioned fan favourites, climbing to the top spot in 84 countries.

Wednesday and Stranger Things Season 4 came in at number one in 83 countries on their debut weekends – a very close shave indeed.
