In a press conferenced addressed by Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne earlier today, it was announced that quarantine will only remain mandatory for COVID-19 positive cases.
Fearne stated that individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will have to remain in isolation for 7 days and if they remain positive it will be extended to 10 days.
Primary contacts who are vaccinated will not be obliged to remain in quarantine, as will those in the positive individual’s household. Individuals from within the same household do not have to quarantine, but health authorities have recommended that the members concerned get tested to protect those around them in case of symptoms.
