Nude Man Wandering in Qawra Beach Sparks Online Furor

A photo of a nude man emerging from the sea at what appears to be Qawra Point Beach (Ta’ Fra Ben) has sparked quite a furor online.

Hundreds took to the comments of a post published by controversial zoo owner Anton Rea Cutajar, who censored the snap himself before taking it online, as a completely nude man wandered across the beach.

Topless sunbathing and public nudity is prohibited on all public beaches, with only a small inlet in Ġnejna Bay and a particular inlet in Pembroke renowned for being nudist beaches.

It is unknown whether any legal action has been taken on the situation.

Motivational Speaker Angele De Leuw Muscat Passes Away

Motivational speaker Angele De Leuw Muscat sadly passed away yesterday at around 08:00 am, after having battled cancer throughout her remarkable life.

Taking to social media, partner Casper De Leuw Muscat announced the passing, saying that she passed away peacefully and quietly whilst surrounded by her family.

‘This morning during my meditation I knew. It was just after 6, but I felt it was about to happen. It was as if something ripped open my heart, and everything came out. Tears, screams, shouts. I might have scared some people around me but I couldn’t contain it. And then when I came back to the hotel Antoinette told me.’

‘Right now I am surrounded by a whole bunch of love and support. It is painful, it is surreal, it is heart breaking. Scary and sad. But, I also know that Angele will be in a better place soon. It is the last thing she told me: “I will be fine”. And she will be. And so will I, and the children. But first we will have to pass through a lot of grief and pain which I will approach with as much positivity as humanly possible.’

‘I am still in Vienna and will be flying back tomorrow morning. When I am back I will be determining what will be happening when and where, and will share more on that once I know.’

Angele was well known locally for motivating those battling the same disease as she was, bringing them light and joy during their ordeal.

Rest in Peace Angele. Condolences to all of her loved ones.

Malta Police Announce Retirement Of Canine Odin

The Malta Police Force announced, ‘with a mixture of gratitude and nostalgia’, the official retirement of one of their most esteemed Police Dogs, Odin.

Described as a loyal and dedicated Belgian Shepherd, Odin served as the absolute good boy that he is for 8 years.

‘Born on the 15th of July, 2013, Odin’s journey began when he was sourced from the Czech Republic in 2015. His primary mission was to undergo rigorous training as an explosive detection dog, a task he mastered with unwavering commitment.’

He was subsequently assigned to PC 597 M. Bonello, with the two maintaining a steadfast partnership until the retirement.

‘Through a collaborative effort with Caritas Malta, Odin has this week been adopted and will continue his retirement within the female section at the San Blas Rehabilitation Unit.’

‘As Odin enjoys his retirement, we celebrate his legacy of safeguarding our community and being a true embodiment of loyalty and commitment’

Shaun Farrugia Meets With Fan Kane To Sing ‘Starlight’

Local artist and singer-songwriter Shaun Farrugia introduced his followers to Kane, a fan who just loves to sing Starlight.

The 11 year old met Shaun to sing the song the artist created with international DJ Martin Garrix together. Shaun was absolutely loving it as he encouraged Kane to take the lead with the song.

‘Starlight has touched so many lives already it means the world to me’, Shaun wrote. He invited Kane to meet him again and cover another of his songs, describing him as ‘brilliant’.

It’s absolutely wholesome to see local artists push fans and possible future talent to enjoy music and go after their dreams.
