Hungary’s new anti-LGBT law turns heads ahead of 2022 election

Jun 17 2021 Share

Hungary has just passed a new law prohibiting the distribution of knowledge about homosexuality and gender transitioning amongst school children younger than 18 years of age and in advertising.

The new law and nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban have faced strong criticism from other parties and human rights groups for the passing of this law in addition to the country’s already-radical social policy.

Christian fundamentalist and gay conversion therapy advocated Matthew Grech was quick to praise such a law, arguing that Malta should follow suit.
