A Maltese company has set a new Guinness World Record with a spectacular New Year’s Eve drone fireworks display in Qatar.

Pyroemotions, based in Naxxar, achieved the record for the largest number of drone fireworks used in an air display, solidifying their reputation for pushing the boundaries of pyrotechnics.

The team behind this groundbreaking feat included 10 Maltese pyrotechnic and drone operators who played a key role in its success.

The breathtaking 10-minute display captivated thousands gathered at Lusail Boulevard in Qatar, blending drones, fireworks, lights, and music into a dazzling celebration to welcome the New Year.

The event has been widely publicized by Qatar as a triumph, with the record-breaking show earning praise for its innovative design and execution.

Andrea Scarpato, CEO, also highlighted to TVM that a similar, smaller-scale display was showcased in Malta during the conclusion of the International Fireworks Festival at the Grand Harbour last April, demonstrating the company’s consistent excellence in pyrotechnic artistry.
