‘An absolute miracle’ wrote Philippa. ‘May you bring light, joy and wonder wherever you go, and may you always know how beloved you are. Infinitely honoured to be your mama.’

Philippa also took some time to thank the health care service at Mater Dei. ‘We were seen-to by the most incredible, dedicated and inspiring staff. Big respect and gratitude to all at Mater Dei Hospital.’

Congratulations to both sisters for this new phase of life!

Andriy For Season 2? Malta Reacts To Elimination

Andriy for season 2? Malta reacts to elimination
Jun 20 2023 Share

After yesterday night’s Love Island Malta elimination, which saw Andriy and Michela eliminated from the villa, the Maltese public showed that at least one of the eliminations shouldn’t have happened.

It was all love for Andriy after the elimination, having being one of the earliest bombshells to be introduced in the villa.

Andriy managed to cultivate a close friendship with most of the contestants, guys and girls, and became a core member of the villa group. And it seems as though the Maltese public had also developed a soft spot for him.

Taking to the comments on the official elimination post, many said that Andriy deserved to be in the finals and that he was one of the best personalities on the show.

Another suggested they bring him back for the second season – something very unlikely to happen but which just goes to show how much of a fan favourite he’d become.

What did you think of last night’s elimination?

Steve Farrugia, a local painter and who you might also know from his time as Airport Impression’s drummer, got to meet Russell Crowe and have a portrait of one of his roles signed by the world famous actor.

Farrugia presented Crowe, who was once again in Malta for a concert in Valletta, with a portrait he himself had drawn of General Maximus, whom Crowe had portrayed in the 2000 epic historical drama.

The actor gladly signed the portrait, commending Steve for the attention to detail and skill with the brush.

Speaking to MaltaDaily, Steve said it was absolutely a dream come true to meet the actor, with Gladiator being one of his all-time favourite films.

Apart from being on the island for the concert (and apart from his constant reminder to the Maltese that he just cannot stay away from his ‘home away from home’), Crowe is also here ahead of the production of the sequel of Gladiator.

The film is set for a 2024 release, meaning a whopping 24 years after the first movie took cinemas by storm.
