New McDelivery Detector orders food when it senses burnt food

New McDelivery Detector orders food when it senses burnt food
Apr 18 2022 Share

Now we’ve seen it all – the McDelivery Detector is a new product by the fast food giant which detects the presence of burnt food and delivers a meal before you can get the smoke out of our house.

The detector was designed by creative agency TBWA/NEBOKO for McDonald’s  and it is, suffice to say, not your average smoke detector.

See, the detector, which appears as a Big Mac clinging upside down from the ceiling, picks up the smoke from the blackened food after you’ve left it cooking for too long.

The detector will automatically send your pre-selected meal to your nearest McDonald’s restaurant and it will deliver your substitute meal in just minutes because, well, you overcooked.

The detector does come with a warning however, saying that it should not act as a replacement for your old smoke detector. Hence McDonald’s and the designers advise you to keep the original no matter how loud the beeping noise is.

People from the Netherlands will have the chance to win the detector by sending their worst kitchen moments to the McDonald’s app. We’ll see if this comes an actual thing people can buy world-wide soon because let’s face it – who doesn’t want a Big Mac hanging from their ceiling?

EP President Roberta Metsola made sure to stay true to her Maltese roots by spending the Easter holidays in Malta alongside her family and the rest of the country.

Taking the opportunity to meet Maltese families on the way, she spent time with journalists discussing the work she does at the EU parliament as well as the Ukraine-Russia war.

She revealed that before heading to Gozo, she told journalists that the EU must remain united in increasing measures against Russia’s aggression, removing our dependency on Russian gas and supporting Ukrainian democracy.

‘Our European values are under the worst form of attack we have seen in two generations. There is no option of remaining silent. There is no corner of Europe that will remain unaffected by this invasion’ she said.

Metsola took to social media to document her stay in Malta for the holidays, visiting the likes of Mdina with her husband and her four sons. Despite her busy schedule, the EP President has made sure to keep her country close at heart.

In an exclusive report unveiled by ONE News, Frank Psaila and his wife Alessia Psaila Zammit resigned from the Nationalist Party.

Frank Psaila was a PN candidate for the previous European Parliament election whereas his wife is the ex-mayor of Siggiewi. She was also a candidate for the general election as well as Minority Leader for the Nationalist Party in the Siggiewi local council.

It was revealed that Alessia Psaila Zammit sent a letter to the Executive Secretary of the Siggiewi Local Council, announcing her renouncement from the PN. She will thus no longer represent Bernard Grech in Siggiewi, vacating her seat completely.

Meanwhile, Frank Psaila was also Information Director for the party and was in third place among Nationalist Candidates for the 2019 European Parliament election.

Political surveys were classifying Psaila in second place, with sources stating that the Nationalist Party establishment which placed Bernard Grech at the party’s helm was working through a block vote to place Psaila after Roberta Metsola and David Casa.

The couple had supported Adrian Delia in the past, with sources telling ONE News that Alessia was pushed to the side despite having worked for the party for around 20 years. This follows resignations by Doris Borg, and Ivan Bartolo.

Writer apologises for starting Rihanna-ASAP Rocky break-up rumour

Writer apologises for starting Rihanna-ASAP Rocky break-up rumour
Apr 18 2022 Share

After social media was taken by storm due to a rumour that ASAP Rocky and Rihanna split because the former had cheated, the fashion writer who spread it took to social media to apologise.

The tweet was shared by Fashion writer Louis Pisano, leading to sources close to the couple having to refute and condemn the rumour.

The tweet, which has since been deleted, claimed that Rihanna and ASAP Rocky have split and that they did so because he was caught cheating with shoe designer Amina Mauddi.

The shoe designer, who was been friends with the couple and has even collaborated with the Fenty brand, was forced to speak out.

She said that despite believing that an unfounded lie doesn’t deserve any response, she was reminded of how we live in a society that is so quick to speak on topics regardless of factual basis and that nothing is off limits.

‘While Rihanna is continuing to live her serene, best dressed pregnancy life, I go back to my business’ she said. Following the post, Pisano took to Twitter to comment on the rumour.

‘Last night I made a dumb decision to tweet some information I had received. I’m not going to talk about sources, blame others for a discussion that was started because at the end of the day I made the decision to draft that tweet, press send and put that out with my name on it.’

They went on to apologise to all parties involved. ‘I fully accept the consequences of my actions for my tweets and any harm they caused. I have no excuses for it.’
