‘She wants you to know that you are heard and you are NOT alone, she has fought these struggles herself and she can assure you that everything will be okay, whether you’re insecure about looks or feel some sort of anxiety. Your confidence will grow when you’re older.’

‘Don’t stay within your comfort zone, go outside, meet new people and have new experiences – it will serve you well. Be kind and love your loved ones.’

‘Be yourself, people will absolutely love you for it (if they don’t, it’s their problem).’

Do Malta’s Hotels & Restaurants Have A Pest Problem?

Do Malta's Hotels & Restaurants Have A Pest Problem?
Jun 10 2024 Share

Addressing concerns about pests such as cockroaches, ants, and rats in local hotels and restaurants, local pest management expert Arnold Sciberras ‘The Exterminator’ confirmed their presence, stating, “Yes, otherwise this industry would not exist.” He explained that pest control efforts are ongoing and vary by season and establishment.

Sciberras told Malta Daily that if a hotel meticulously follows pest prevention instructions, only minor interventions might be needed. The necessity of these interventions also depends on the hotel’s location. In restaurants, he pointed out that many establishments encounter cockroach issues, particularly in winter when they receive product shipments. Other common pests in restaurants include rats, termites, and hornets, especially in open spaces.

However, Sciberras noted that not every establishment suffers from pest problems. The absence of intervention from professionals like The Exterminator would result in the persistence and escalation of these issues.

He concluded by stressing the importance of regular protection, prevention, and proofing to help establishments manage pest problems year-round. His insights highlight the critical role of professional pest control in maintaining the hygiene and safety of Malta’s hospitality industry.

How often do you come across pests in local establishments?
